The Role

A key part of the senior leadership team, this new role will proactively lead on all aspects of internal and digital communications, ensuring our strategies, key messages and communication themes effectively convey our vision, values and objectives, internally and to all key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with investor relations and corporate affairs activities.  

From designing and leading on the delivery of our communication strategy, to supporting change initiatives you will also be responsible for leading and supporting local media relations as well as enhancing our digital platforms and content and ensuring our crisis and issue management capability is appropriately planned and managed.

What we are looking for in potential candidates:

  • Proven track record of developing and executing communication strategies across a UK plc.
  • Experience in crisis communication, media relations and stakeholder engagement.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong sense of integrity, discretion and professionalism with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organisation.
  • Proficiency in digital tools and social media platforms.
  • Strong project management skills and multitasking abilities.
  • Strategic and agile thinker, able to translate complex information into clear and relevant messages.
  • Proactive approach to offering trusted and expert guidance.
  • Skilled in shaping narratives that inspire action and alignment with Serica’s goals.
  • A natural connector who thrives in cross functional environments and fosters strong partnerships.
  • Understanding of corporate governance, regulation and compliance, and stakeholder engagement in the upstream oil and gas industry.
