The Role – Engineering Summer Placement - Subsea

This placement is suitable for a final year Engineering student looking for an opportunity to become part of a multi-discipline Oil and Gas Subsea Engineering team for a summer placement.

Scopes of work

The main focus of the placement would be to support the Subsea operations team managing the Bruce Keith & Rhum assets. This would involve developing tools to streamline provision of asset information and cost estimation alongside general engineering & project support


  1. Build a master process/chemical volume database for estimating the chemical requirements for current and future subsea scopes / platform operations.
  2. Build a project cost estimating tool that can be used for budgeting future projects / scopes based on previous norms and considering risk elements.

In addition to the above there also could be an opportunity to support the subsea inspection & pipeline survey campaign.

Essential Qualifications

  • Studying towards an Engineering Degree with an interest in Subsea Engineering.
