Role Purpose

  • The role of the Reservoir Engineer is to support and coordinate all reservoir engineering related deliverables associated with Bruce, Keith, Rhum and Columbus along with other corporate assets / applications / activity
  • The role will focus on reservoir and base management along with the provision of reservoir engineering support to on-going projects to maximise value before field COP. These include hydrualic fracturing, recompletions, well-intervention and facility-based opportunities
  • Manage all related notifications to OGA, i.e. Stewardship survey
  • Manage Serica Energy reserves reporting
  • As required, model impact on third party opportunities

Main Tasks

Please note that this list of duties is not exhaustive and employees will be expected to undertake reasonable duties commensurate of their role and grade.
  • Responsible for managing resource and reserves progression in accordance with Company standards
  • Long term production forecasting, option identification and resource progression
  • Communication of subsurface risk and uncertainty to enable informed Area decisions
  • Integration with other functions, especially Ops, Commercial and Wells
  • Identify and develop organic growth opportunities within the producing asset base
  • Support of Area Development Planning processes, and responsible for subsurface inputs to this
  • Responsible for evaluating and communicating export impact of 3rd party activities to Serica assets

Professional Skills

Essential:
  • Extensive experience in a reservoir engineering role
  • TNav and /or Eclipse and other reservoir engineering software skills (material balance, decline curve analysis, etc)
  • PVT understanding
  • Excellent technical writing and presentation skills
Desirable:
  • Ability to build, run and optimise TNav and/or Eclipse (or similar) models
  • Experience with Petroleum Expert Suite of software (i.e. MBAL, GAP, Prosper, PVTp, etc)
  • Understanding of economics and commercial drivers
  • Ability to work with geologists/ geophysicist to build models and run sensitivities
  • Pressure Transient Analysis experience

Education Requirements
