Role Purpose
The Senior Well Integrity & Interventions Engineer is responsible for managing the operated well stock within Serica Energy through safe delivery of Well Interventions and Well Integrity across the full well lifecycle. This is a demanding role that seeks a person who is committed to continuous improvement and simplification. The role has scope for progression as the company grows.Areas of Responsibility

Main Tasks

- Demonstrate personal commitment to HSEQ and ethics & compliance policies with awareness of relevant statutory and regulatory industry guidance and regulations
- Responsible for understanding and controlling Major Accident Hazards relating to well stock
- Monitoring Well Stock through proficient use of SAFEWELLS (WIMS), PI and SKF software
- Undertake technical studies and recommend action for wells based upon integrity status
- Respond to well integrity anomalies providing technical recommendation to management
- Interdisciplinary working to optimise safe production of wells
- Focal point for promoting Well Integrity understanding across disciplines
- Responsible for maintaining, updating, upgrading and managing Well Integrity Management System (WIMS)
- Update Well Operating Guidelines for all assets considering Company Production Well Integrity Policy over the well lifecycle. (Define MAASP and Operating Windows for wells through calculation or investigation)
- Responsible for reporting of Well integrity status to Senior management
- Focal point for Annual Well Examination Review and custodian of the Serica Well Examination Scheme
- Leads well intervention engineering, planning and operations via the Serica Project Management Standard
- Provides engineering and technical solutions to well intervention challenges
- Optimise safe working practices in the development of operational programmes, notifications and consents. Be familiar with deviations, management of change, company standards and policies, HAZID / HAZOP etc
- Liaise with the Well Examiner to ensure programmes are examined as per the Serica Well Examination Scheme
- Works with Wells team members and offshore operations team to ensure that all activities are performed in a safe manner, to the required standard using good oilfield practice
- Work closely with the Wells Manager to ensure well planning and KPIs are up to date
- Acts as contract holder for certain contracts, leading performance reviews and non-conformance management
- Track expenditure on well operations and assist with budget preparations
- Prepare, review & evaluate tenders for the provision of integrity and intervention related equipment and services. Provide cost models, technical feedback final recommendations
- Develops estimated cost and duration, for interventions or elements of specific operations
- Perform visits, pre-job meetings and audits with service partners
- Organises periodic offshore visits to review offshore working practices as per company and service partners procedures
- Liaises closely with Operations Team to support implementation of engineering work plans and provide live intervention engineering support
- Follow up and improve well performance through collaborative evaluation & innovation
- Prepare and present EOWR’s and capture/follow up on lessons learned for future activities
- Reviews and provides input when required to drilling and completion programmes
- Regular communications with Engineering, Subsurface, Maintenance and HSEQ disciplines
Professional Skills
Essential:- Fluent spoken and written English compulsory
- Ability to prioritise and manage a significant workload in a changing environment
- Good IT skills, especially Microsoft Office suite and Well Integrity Management Software
- Committed to developing skills and experience in other technical disciplines e.g. drilling, well completion design, well architecture etc

Education Requirements
Essential:- Educated to degree level in Mechanical or Petroleum engineering related discipline, or
- Vast experience profile in well integrity and interventions
- Experience and/or training in well servicing or drilling and completions
- IWCF Level 4 Well Intervention Pressure Control or Well Site Supervisor (Surface BOP or Combined Surface and Subsea)
- Masters in Petroleum Engineering
- Chartered Engineer
