The Role

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this position will be responsible for driving enhanced production performance across Serica’s assets. The role will manage production and injection processes, improve visibility of production, potential and losses, and develop innovative production engineering strategies to protect and optimise well performance. Working closely with subsurface, wells, and operational teams, the role will support effective well interventions and provide solutions to operational challenges. It will also champion the use of data, digital tools and technology to strengthen production insights and maximise asset value.

What we are looking for in potential candidates:

  • Proven experience in production optimisation, production engineering or similar discipline within the oil and gas industry
  • Strong understanding of well performance, production systems, and key drivers of production efficiency
  • Demonstrated ability to use data, digital tools and technology to enhance production and identify performance‑improving opportunities
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across subsurface, wells, operations and digital teams
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating production loss threats
  • Ability to create clear visualisation of production, potential and losses to drive organisational understanding and action
  • Experience preparing technical and commercial input for well interventions, workovers and production‑related investment decisions
