The Role – Job Title

The role of the Subsea Control Engineer is to provide engineering subsea engineering expertise in support of all subsea control systems operated by Serica Energy. This support will be proactive and focused towards ensuring continuing reliability and availability of all subsea control systems and responding to emerging corrective scopes.

In addition to delivering core operational support, the Subsea Controls Engineer will also be required to support assigned activities and deliverables for relevant subsea project work scopes.

The Subsea Controls Engineer will:

  • Act as single point of accountability for defined subsea activities
  • Input to annual OPEX requirement for the Subsea control systems
  • Maintain availability of the subsea control systems
  • Identify and manage response to any risks to integrity or production
  • Generation of 6wk, 12wk, 8Q, and 20Q subsea activity in the BKR plan
  • Provide contract management for nominated subsea 3rd party contractors
  • Ensure Subsea maintenance and inspection activities are completed in line with defined processes
  • Support assigned subsea project work scopes
  • Act as offshore technical rep for intervention activities

What we are looking for in potential candidates:

  • Technical qualification in relevant Engineering discipline
  • Relevant subsea controls experience
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with support contractors and vendors to explain complex technical issues
  • Demonstrates creative thinking and problem solving
  • A track record in delivering performance against demanding targets
  • Experience of Offshore or on-site working environment
  • Demonstrable track record in previous similar role
