At Serica, we pride ourselves on our inclusive culture and actively encourage people to get involved, be open and share their knowledge and experience.
Our staff-led committees take the lead in community engagement, working with charities, schools and universities to build meaningful and impactful relationships.
Our Annual Report provides an overview of our activities in 2025.
Diversity and inclusion (‘D&I’)
Our D&I strategy aims to develop a Company culture that is inclusive and attracts diversity. As well as being the right thing to do, this benefits our organisation, bringing diversity of thought and experience to empower, educate and enrich our business. Our Equal Opportunities and Dignity at Work policy highlights Serica’s commitment to treating all employees equally, irrespective of age, disability, gender, sexual orientation, marital or civil partnership status, pregnancy or maternity, race, colour, nationality and ethnic or national origin.
By continuing to champion diversity and inclusion, we ensure that every voice is heard and valued, and contributes to our shared success, making Serica a place where people not only excel, but truly enjoy coming to work every day.

Education
Our Education Committee promotes energy and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (‘STEM’) education in schools, universities, peer organisations and energy institutions. They do this by volunteering, sponsoring events and providing learning equipment.
The Education Committee starts with supporting young people and finishes with developing our employees, engaging with many initiatives in between.

Charities and fundraising
We are proud to be integrated into the communities in which we operate. Our staff-led Charities and Fundraising Committee oversees donations, sponsorships, volunteering and fundraising efforts. It aims to build strong relationships with core charities and listens to the opinions of our staff and contractors to ensure we support causes that matter to them.
We are incredibly fortunate to have such a passionate and dedicated team willing to go the extra mile for causes close to their hearts.

Wellbeing
Our Health and Wellbeing Policy sets out our approach to managing and promoting health and wellbeing amongst our workforce, which includes providing training on mental health and stress awareness and signposting our teams to internal and external support available to them. Our Wellbeing Committee supports us by providing a variety of events and communications across our sites. These include informative lunch and learn sessions and arranging medical check-ups in our offices and offshore to help our colleagues “know their numbers”.
Our people are our most important asset. By raising awareness and championing wellbeing, we help empower them to thrive both in and out of work.

Armed Forces support
Our Armed Forces support group promotes our industry to service leavers who may not have considered a career in the energy industry before but whose skillsets match up well with the roles and lifestyles our industry can offer. We are also a founding member of the OEUK Industry Armed Forces Forum which aims to bring together member companies from all sectors of the energy industry and its supply chain to promote the Armed Forces Covenant, share best practices and jointly promote career opportunities.
We are proud to support our Armed Forces and by reaching the Gold Award status of the Employer Recognition Scheme, under the Armed Forces Covenant, we have strengthened that commitment.
