The Role – Business Analyst (Corporate)

Supporting the full range of corporate planning economics evaluation in delivering objectives, role will be part of a small corporate economics team having overview of all corporate related workstreams including Management & Board information, Investor Relations analysis and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A). Based in the head office, the role will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and working with the Lead Corporate Economist will also support other Senior Leadership Team executives frequently.

What we are looking for in potential candidates:

  • Minimum Bachelor level
  • Demonstrable relevant experience, preferably working at a bank or corporate finance adviser and/or equivalent role at an Exploration & Production (E&P) company
  • Very strong Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills essential
  • Solving complex problems using detailed modelling skills
  • A good understanding of the E&P Value Chain and profitability and economic drivers of an E&P Company
  • Preferably experience in Corporate Finance and market / financial dynamics of public companies
  • Strong Communicator - Can use language effectively (verbal or written) to gather information and facilitate the exchange of ideas

We will contact individuals and invite them to an interview.  We offer in person or video interviews through Microsoft Teams.  Serica will make reasonable adjustments during the interview process if required.  The interview structure will be a mix of questions relating to technical experience and skills related to the role and questions relating to the values of Serica.  Second stage interviews may be necessary as an additional candidate assessment for staff roles.
