Serica Energy announces temporary re-sale restrictions on new ordinary shares

Serica Energy PLC, an international oil and gas exploration company, announced today that on December 13, 2005, the Company issued 67,368,421 new ordinary shares which were, together with the 75,180,159 existing ordinary shares of the Company, admitted to trading on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange. Serica's ordinary shares are also quoted in Canada on the TSX Venture Exchange.

Serica Energy plc (TSX Venture: SQZ) today announced that the Serica operated Togar-1A exploration well, in the Asahan Offshore Production Sharing Contract (PSC), Indonesia, has discovered gas in the Middle Keutapang sandstones. The size of the accumulation is not believed to be commercial but the presence of gas in the Keutapang is a significant development for the Group's other prospects on this block.

Serica Energy Announces Completion of Biliton 2005 2D Seismic Program

Serica Energy Corporation (TSX Venture: SQZ) announced today it has completed the 2005 2D seismic survey on its Biliton block (Serica`s interest: 90% and Operator). The latest survey was an infill program designed to acquire data over several large structures identified from the 2004 survey. A total of 2,300 kms of 2D seismic data, along with gravity and magnetic data, were acquired during April. The processing and interpretation of the data will now take approximately six months.
Serica Energy announces signing of rig contract

Serica Energy Corporation (TSX Venture: SQZ) announced today the signing of a contract with PT Lins Petrotama Energi, as the Indonesian agent for Jet Drilling (S) Pte. Ltd., covering the use of the semi-submersible drilling rig "Galaxy Driller" for a two-well drilling program in its offshore North Sumatra blocks. The total value of the contract, including both the rig and ancillary services, is US$5.7 million.
