petroleum development associates (UK) Limited re-acquires Licences P.898 & P.936 in the UK Southern North Sea

It was announced today in London that petroleum development associates (UK) Limited ("pda") has concluded the purchase of the Licences P.898 (Blocks 48/16b & 47/20) and P.936 (Blocks 47/19a & 25a) in the Southern Gas Basin from operator ConocoPhillips (UK) Limited and partners GDF Britain Limited and Tullow Oil UK Limited for an undisclosed cash sum. The Licences contain the 48/16b-2 discovery drilled by ConocoPhillips and partners in December 2002. The Managing Director of the pda Group, Chris Atkinson is "very pleased by the purchase which, along with our recent 21st Round awards of Blocks 47/17 and 47/18, add to our core area growth strategy at the margin of the Southern Gas Basin".
pda Group awarded four exclusive Research Permits in the autonomous region of Aragón, northern Spain.

It was announced today in Zaragoza that the pda Group through its associated company pda Iberica S.L. has been awarded four exclusive Research Permits to explore for hydrocarbons in the autonomous region of Aragón, northern Spain. Each Permit is for an initial six year term. The Managing Director of the pda Group, Chris Atkinson is "delighted by the award which has taken nearly 2 years to obtain". He commented that "given the new geological knowledge pda has on the area, together with the attractive fiscal terms and commercial climate in Spain, this is a very exciting exploration project for a company such as ours".
Pre-Merger Agreement signed by Kyrgoil Holding Corporation and Petroleum Development Associates

Kyrgoil Holding Corporation ('Kyrgoil') (TSX: 'KGO') and Petroleum Development Associates (Oil and Gas) Limited ('PDA') today announced that they have signed a Pre-Merger Agreement under which they will merge the companies. The name of the merged company will be Kyrgoil Holding Corporation.

On 4 October 2002, petroleum development associates (Asia) Ltd, a part of the petroleum development associates group of companies ("pda") completed the purchase of the entire issued share capital of Amerada Hess (Indonesia-Lematang) Ltd ("AHILL") for an undisclosed sum.
