Role Purpose

  • The HSEQ Advisor supports and advises the business and its operating assets on all aspects of HSEQ related matters, including legislation and compliance

Areas of Responsibility

Geographical Span: Serica Assets- UKCS
Budgetary Responsibilities: No
Direct Reports: No
Travel Required: Occasional as required
 

Main Tasks

  • Promoting visible HSEQ leadership through regular pro-active visits to company sites and contractors facilities
  • Advising operational support teams, including Procurement & Supply Chain Management, on compliance with HSEQ regulatory and company standards  
  • Supporting contractor HSEQ performance management and engagement activities
  • Supporting the HSEQ Manager in the maintenance and development of the Company’s HSEQ management system
  • Engaging with Regulators and other external stakeholders as directed by  the HSEQ Manager
  • Supporting reviews of asset Safety Cases
  • Coordinating the development and delivery of Audit Plans
  • Participating in incident and near-miss investigations
  • Coordinating reviews and reporting of the company’s HSEQ performance in Synergi Life
  • Coordinating and promoting HSEQ “in-house” initiatives
  • Supporting development and delivery of induction and training

Professional Skills

Essential:
  • Working in a major hazard industry
  • Experience of maintaining and implementing HSEQ Management Systems that align with ISO ISO 9001/18001//14001/45001
  • Experience of the application of quality management in the procurement and supply chain processes
  • Experience of regulator and  stakeholder engagement
  • Experience of leading investigations and facilitating root cause analyses
  • Track record in working as a key member of a small multidisciplinary teams
  • Good understanding of the UK O&G legislative regime

  • CMIOSH and experience in similar role
